Themes Post for Frankenstein

     Shane and Dan's blog. Dan and I picked the theme of Lies and Deciet. Victor keeping such a big secret causes a lot of issues. He does not share the secret about the monster and it brings destruction to the ones he loves, and leaves him with nothing. Many people Victor cares about die because of the monster. Elizabeth, his brother and many others die. Justine dies too because she is believed to have killed Victors brother. Victor ends up believing that everything is his fault and knows he has nothing left because he made the monster. Victor distances himself and goes through a significant change and this secrecy brings him down in the long haul. In the end Victor has no dad, no wife and no brother. Victor decides to pursue the monster and meets Walton. Walton promises to pursue the monster for Victor. This goes along with the theme of lies and deceit, because if Victor never created the monster it would not have killed people and others wouldn't have been blamed.
